K-9 Unit

Officer Chris Goley & Trinity
Officer Matt Elsasser & Knox

The Papillion Police Department’s K-Unit consists of two teams — Officer Chris Goley and PSD Trinity and Officer Matt Elsasser and PSD Knox. The two K-9 teams work opposite shifts, allowing the department to have a dog always available when needed, especially as demand for their service increases. Both dogs are trained and certified to perform drug searches and track criminals and missing persons.

Officer Goley has served as a K-9 officer since 2003, with Officer Elsasser joining the K-9 team in 2019. PSD Trinity, a Dutch Shepherd, has served the department since 2018, with PSD Knox, a Belgian Malinois, joining the team in 2019.
