NFL Youth Flag Football

Papillion Recreation Department’s youth flag football program partners with City of La Vista Recreation and Spirit Monarch Football, utilizing the NFL Youth Flag Program to provide official NFL-branded team gear. 

All games are played on Saturday mornings and afternoons at the Papillion Landing Field House, La Vista Sports Complex and Spirit Football Field beginning at 8:00 AM-2:00 PM. Open to Boys and Girls in Grades PreK-6.

Individuals registering through Papillion Recreation Department will be placed on teams with others registering as well through our Department.  La Vista Recreation and Spirit Monarch Football will be handling their own registrations and teams.

  • Volunteer coaches are needed and encouraged to contact Julian Andrade, jandrade@papillion.org
  • 1 free player registration per coach
  • Requests will be taken for coaches and teammates, these are not guaranteed.
  • Mouthpiece, flag belt, NFL FLAG jersey, and matching shorts provided.

First Tee Omaha

Youth Golf Camps

Please join us as First Tee Omaha and Papillion Recreation partner for programming serving the area's youth! As an inclusive youth development program, Hogan’s Junior Golf Heroes Foundation DBA First Tee Omaha, serves area kids with a 6/1 student to coach ratio. Your child will learn the basic rules of golf, learn life skills to better prepare them for their future, AND have a LOT of fun!

Each student will also receive a logoed hat. Participants are encouraged to bring their own clubs if they own them – if not, we will provide. Open to kids ages 6-12.

Winter Break Camp

  • Session I:  December 20-22, 10:00-11:15 AM
  • Session II:  December 27-29, 9:00-10:15 AM
  • Session III:  December 27-29, 10:30-11:45 AM

Little Dribblers

Presented by Jr. NBA

The Jr. NBA is the official youth basketball participation program of the NBA. This program aims to develop a lifelong passion for the game of basketball in boys and girls by teaching them the fundamentals of the sport while instilling core values including teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. Participants will spend each session going through a variety of drills and skill work, before ending with a scrimmage. As the session progresses, we will slowly implement the rules and procedures of real games. 

Mondays and Wednesdays - January 8th - February 28th

  • Session I:  Pre-K/K, 5:30-6:30 PM
  • Session II:  1st/2nd Grade, 6:45-7:45 PM
  • Location:  Papillion Landing Community Gym
  • Fee:  $60.00
  • No practices on 1/17 and 2/7

For those interested in serving as a head coach, 1 free entry will be provided.

Junior Tennis Summer Clinics

Clinics are designed to meet the needs of every level tennis player from the beginner to the more experienced player. The instructor will be teaching fundamental elements of tennis such as, but not limited to, hand eye coordination, reflexes and proper movement. The focus will be on development of basic ground strokes and volleys, grips, body position, stroke components and correct footwork.

Clinics will be conducted with proper instruction of the sport of tennis followed by appropriate level game and/or match play. Each session consists of 2 days. Depending on registration numbers, session times may be combined.

All participants must bring their own tennis racquet, water and wear tennis shoes. Make up dates for weather cancellations will be provided as needed.  Open to ages 5-14.

Little Kickers Soccer Summer Camp 

This camp is designed to introduce the game of soccer to boys and girls ages 4-6. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the basic fundamentals of soccer while having lots of fun. Participants must wear shin-guards and bring their own water. Each participant will receive a “Little Kickers” t-shirt. Limited to the first 30 participants.

Summer Rookie Camp

This camp is available to boys and girls ages 4-6 who are looking to have fun with kids their own age while learning the basic fundamentals of baseball/softball. Participants must bring their own glove and water. Each participant will receive a “Rookie Camp” t-shirt and cap. Limited to the first 24 participants.
